TrumpCare

"America has the best doctors, the best nurses, the best medical technology, the best medical breakthrough medicines in the world. There is absolutely no reason we should not have in this country the best health care in the world." - Senator Bill Frist
Our YPO (Young Presidents Organization) health care group was a guest of Harvard Business School the week of the elections. Much of the program and discussion as you might imagine was about the election’s effect on health care.
Chris Collins is a YPOer / US Representative who will be the liaison between the House of Representatives and President Trump. He spoke with Trump the day after the election and reported to us the next day that within eighteen months changes would likely include:
more competition and choices
less regulation
repeal of the Accountable Care Act (ACA), though retain some of the concepts
specifically get rid of individual and employer mandates, insurance marketplace requirements and Medicaid expansion
cover pre-existing conditions through a federally subsidized pool
growth of Medicare Advantage
liability reform
much of what House Speaker Paul Ryan and his friends have already proposed
That model is well spelled out at A Better Way.
MedMan is analyzing the new political climate and will advise our clinics on the opportunities, threats and suggested responses.
