Medical Assistant / Front Desk
Boise, Idaho

MedMan Medical Group, a family practice medical group located in the Treasure Valley, is in search of a medical receptionist to be a part of this growing practice. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being challenged, excels at multi-tasking, is organized and someone who is very adaptable and focused on delivering a positive patient experience. This role is designed to be for a Medical Assistant who would work both the front desk, as well as, provide Medical Assistant coverage when needed. You will support the providers, staff and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.


Primary Front Desk Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate positive interpersonal relations in dealing with physicians, patients, patient families, visitors and co-workers in a professional and confident manner

  • Greet patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries

  • Schedule patient appointments

  • Obtain patient information and input it accurately into the EHR

  • Obtain accurate insurance information and run verification

  • Collect and process payments at the time of service

  • Maintain patient confidentiality as per the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).


Medical Assistant Responsibilities (when providing coverage)

  • Complete all required charting and documentation according to clinic guidelines and the direction of the Provider.

  • Administer injections, draws blood, removes sutures and staples, and completes necessary forms according to clinic policies and procedures to ensure services are completed according to coding and billing guidelines.

  • Answer patient calls with clinically related questions, to assist the Provider in providing ongoing care and treatment of patients.

  • Provide ongoing patient education under the direction of the Provider

  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments


  • Proven working experience as a medical assistant

  • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

  • Social perceptiveness and service oriented

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills

Minimum qualifications include:

  • High school diploma; some college preferred

  • Medical assistant certification preferred

  • Two years’ experience in a clinic setting

  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • EHR experience preferred

  • Reliable Transportation

  • Willing to travel to various clinic sites in Treasure Valley

Operations Coordinator

While extending the Corporate Team, this person will be responsible for:

  • Ensure MedMan support to our managed medical practices is scheduled, arranged and executed

  • Oversee elements of MedMan’s business development initiatives

  • Participate in the hiring process and manage elements of employee onboarding

  • Extend MedMan’s leadership by attending meetings, capturing meeting minutes, managing calendars and scheduling travel arrangements and other engagements

  • Serving as a point person to connect MedMan team to appropriate resources and push communication out to the team

  • Manage relationships with MedMan’s vendors contracted to support our medical groups

  • Perform special projects as needed

Nurse Practitioner or Physician
