Subjective:
Physicians were presented with declining production.
Objective:
Total and per-physician work units had decreased in spite of marketing efforts regarding quality and availability.
Assessment:
MedMan research revealed that the area could support only thirteen podiatrists, though seventeen were practicing.
Plan:
MedMan completed a marketing plan for the group as well as a brochure, inset and Rolodex card; media relations landed a cover story in a statewide physician magazine read widely by potential referring physicians; the group initiated a patient-satisfaction survey, a referral tracking and acknowledgment policy, and a referring provider direct-mail campaign; MedMan conducted an employee luncheon which featured a discussion regarding the importance of relationship marketing.
Outcome:
Production increased by 7%.
